THE
MAPS IN WOP1920 |

In
WOP 1920 we tried to add as much historic accuracy
as possible. All the 3 WOP1920
maps (althought made on Western Front maps) try to
describe the situation on the front line in 1919/20.

IMPORTANT:
these maps presented here have not the good format
to be integrated so in the game, the maps in WOP1920
are also more beautiful! On the other hand, these
maps comprise some additional information concerning
the targets :o)

1.
The Defence of LWOW (Lviv) 1919 (and
1920, too)
|
These map was prepared
by 2.Esk Fatman. This is training map with
all the WOP1920 targets avaiable. The map shows
the situation from late 1918/ early 1919 when
there were fights for city of Lwow between
Polish Army and Army of People's Republic of
Ukraine. The map works well for the siege of
Lwow in 1920 when Polish Army fought with Red
Army.

2.
North frontline, December 1919 - June
1920
|
These map was designed
by 1.Esk TopGun. This is a big campaign map,
made on MARNE map. It shows the situation from
XII.1919 to VI.1920 when Soviet offensive begun
pushing Polish forces to Vistula river. While
preparing offensive, the Red Army moved there
their best air units, such like 4th AviaGruppa
(4th Air Regiment) lead by famous Alexandr
Shyrynkin.Polish side had there 13th Eskadra
and 19th Eskadra (scout units) and 12th Eskadra
and 14th Eskadra (rec/bomb units). From April
to June 1920 there were real dogfights between
both sides in this sector.

3. Battle of Niemen River
- September 1920
|
Designed by 2.Esk Lucas,
this maps shows the final phase of the war,
the Battle of Niemen River. It shows the situation
from the middle of September 1920 to early
October 1920 when the final Polish offensive
started. There are many targets such like:
armoured and regular trains, infantry units,
convoys, baloons, etc
