The SPAD XIII is
a fighter built in April 1917 by the "Société
Pour l'Aviation
et ses Dérivés" company ,
France. The S.XIII was the evolution of succesful S.VII. Equipped with 2 guns and more powerful engine, the S.XIII appeared to be a good gun platform and was widely used by French and American Air Services till the end of World War.

The use of the plane in this game: Not very manouverable, the S.XIII can catch all Soviet planes except the SE5a. It also can take a lot of damage. Its dive characteristics are superb. One of the best planes in WOP1920.
